How To Recruit Real Estate Agents?

Posted by joseph January - 9 - 2019 0 Comment

How To Recruit Real Estate Agents? I have to be honest, the recruiting thing is a bit new to me, usually, someone else did that and I was responsible for:

  • Teaching Conscious Business Practice
  • Mentoring
  • Branding Strategist
  • Business Development

Since I got the additional task for recruiting Real Estate agents and I love a challenge, I said: ” bring it “. Then something interesting happened, once the word got out to other colleagues in the business I was told: go after that one or this one, go after her or him or that team they are big producers. To any recruiter that might have been music to his/her ears, to me, something did not align well with me.

I asked myself in silence, what if he/she or that team they so-called big producers don’t align with the company’s values, culture or mindset? I have witnessed this before during my 25 years career and it never turns out well.

I decided as I love being outside the box, there are other healthier options, I can use for recruiting :

  • Nothing wrong with non-seasoned agents, we all had to start somewhere, that includes me as well
  • Seasoned agents as long as they are willing to look at the brokerage’s values and culture with a wide lens.
  • Agents that have a burning desire to do their best at what they do.
  • Agents that have the “IT” factor. Thriving to be better not just as agents but as human beings to society.
  • Agents that have a clear understanding of their  “why “ he/she is in the real estate industry.
  • Agents that have a clear understanding behind the meaning of” People don’t buy what you do, people buy WHY you do it”

Suddenly there are lots of options to how to recruit Real Estate agents. It only takes a few conversations with some agents for me to appreciate the value of their work, spirit, independence and the importance of their local standing…

Money, of course, is important, but we need to remember money is a byproduct of what we do. So be you and the rest will take care of itself.
